In this final guided meditation, part of The Inner Temple fo the Heart Series, we’ll be focusing on activating the virtue of honor.
As a virtue of the heart, honor is a deep sense of respect, esteem or reverence for yourself, others and all of life.
To honor yourself means you treat yourself with appreciation, compassion, forgiveness, humility, understanding, kindness and love. It also means having the valor to speak your truth, share your feelings, go after what you really want and ask to have your needs met, even if that means inconveniencing others around you.
To honor yourself means you make your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellbeing your number one priority in life; for only by first taking care of yourself, can you better take care of others. It also means having the courage to walk away from people, situations and places where you are not being appreciated, valued and respected for who you are.
Honoring others means you treat them with the same kindness, love and respect you would like to be treated with. It means embracing their truth and respecting their sovereign right to freely choose who they want to be, and what they want for their life, even if you disagree or feel inconvenienced by the choices they make.
To honor yourself, others and life is to recognize that each person, each being you’re sharing your life with, is both a human being and divine individualized expression of God, free to choose their own path and equally worthy of receiving love, appreciation and kindness, simply for who they are.
Each time you honor yourself and others you come into greater harmony with the loving intelligence that governs all of life.
I hope you enjoy this next installment of The Inner Temple of the Heart, and that it opens your heart to welcoming greater love, abundance, and joy in your life!
